CULTURE + LEADERSHIP

Ramsey Silberberg believes that cultivating genuine, long-lasting relationships is what makes the often challenging work we do fun, rewarding, and fulfilling. When people thrive it shows in the work. At Mantle, what underpins everything is a deep respect for each person’s contribution and perspective.

With three decades leading award winning projects, Ramsey Silberberg brings passion, experience and creativity to her work. Her designs are innovative yet diligent, she distills the unique qualities of a site, listens to her client’s goals, and thoughtfully choreographs program.

After 17 years as a founding Partner of Meyer + Silberberg Land Architects, Ramsey Silberberg founded Mantle to create a collaborative studio committed to affecting positive change. Her work has been published in the New York Times, Landscape Architecture magazine, and numerous books. She has been a visiting instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was also the recipient of the Faculty Medal of Honor and ASLA Medal of Honor. She loves to travel with her family, seeing it is an opportunity to explore the landscape and inspire new ideas.

We are a close-knit team that values the support, mentorship and camaraderie that open collaboration and sharing brings. Together, we foster a healthy exchange of ideas, whether that be in our work, our profession, the arts, culture or simply things that we are personally passionate about. In our studio, everyone is encouraged to be open, honest and feel comfortable pushing the bounds of what they know. We view our relationships, internally and externally, as the foundation of a successful practice and believe in the collaborative authorship of projects – no one person can be successful alone. And, we like to find fun wherever we can, celebrating the daily victories as much as the big milestones.
