Gathering spaces are successful when they are welcoming and inclusive, responding both to the site’s unique character and reflecting the people that will use it. We seek to build flexible and adaptive spaces that allow for life to unfold authentically. Our experience extends from dense urban sites to national parklands; in both cases we think opportunistically about how to maximize space and activate edges. Through extensive outreach and workshops, we develop local partnerships to co-envision spaces that are rooted within, and relevant to, the community.

Mantle’s experience designing landscape for public space for both private developers and public institutions reflects our commitment to parks and open spaces that are inclusive of all people and sensitive to cultural, racial, economic, and social diversity.
