The mandate for this multi-family community, located in Alameda on the edge of Crown Memorial State Beach, was to develop a master plan that supported the revitalization of the existing landscape infrastructure for this 400+ unit apartment complex.

The team conducted multiple studies for this plant back master plan, retaining the existing plant palette, but developing new schemes that refreshed and amplified the plant life in this vibrant community.

Approaching the challenge from a hospitality perspective, the team developed unique planting plans for various ‘rooms’ throughout the site, giving each a unique look and feel and offering different amenities for the residents.
